Nature-based carbon removals

Agriculture and land degradation contribute to a quarter of the overall GHG emissions worldwide. In the combat towards climate change agriculture, in particular agricultural soil, is called to play a key role to exploit the huge potential for carbon removal and carbon storage in natural sinks. 

ClimatePal aims at contributing to the development of reliable, additional, and permanent carbon removals in the agricultural sector, through the implementation of advanced agricultural management practices focusing on soil health, enhancing soil fertility, and promoting the soil carbon accumulation.
